Description
We'll pick you up in front of your hotel or Air Bnb and set off on a 7-hour tour. Explore the charm of Saint-Paul-de-Vence, a fortified village decorated by Chagall and Picasso. Stroll the cobbled streets lined with art galleries. Head to Cannes for the famous red carpet at the Palais des Festivals, home of the Cannes International Film Festival, one of the most prestigious in the world (no entry is possible as the palace is closed to the public). Enjoy the Old Town of Cannes by strolling through this shaded district, which provides much-needed coolness on hot summer days. Venture down the narrow, steep streets of the old town and browse the seasonal stalls. You could, if you wish, climb up to the Notre-Dame d’Espérance church and admire the city’s most cinematic panorama. Discover Antibes, Picasso’s refuge, with its medieval ramparts, contemporary art, and breathtaking views of Cap d’Antibes. Construction began in 1565, during the reign of Charles IX, to protect the town from attack by sea. The citadel has undergone numerous modifications and extensions over the centuries. The Citadelle d’Antibes offers a panoramic view of the town and the Mediterranean. THE PICASSO MUSEUM (admission not included: 8 euros) In 1920, Pablo Picasso arrived in Antibes to spend the summer and began painting in the Château Grimaldi, now the famous Musée Picasso. The museum houses one of the largest collections of paintings, sculptures, ceramics, and drawings by the Spanish artist. The permanent collection includes over 245 works by Picasso, from 1919 to 1946. After the guide’s explanations, you’ll have some free time.Includes
